Hearth & Home
Spent the day working on a little flair for teh daughter’s bedroom. I purchased these photo storage boxes at Michael’s a while back for like $4.00, and thought they’d look super cute if I added some fabric and ribbon to them. I already had the fabric – leftovers for making her message boards (I’ll post [...]
Finished piece 1 of 4 art pieces for the my munchikin’s room and thought I’d share. It’s an ink-on-bristol drawing, styled after another piece that I had done for an art class a while back. I’ll post the other three as I get them done.
So here it is: the only room in the house even close to being done. I still need to hang up the art work and the new blinds – and the curtains are in the process of being hemmed so they’re MIA at the moment. But it gives you some idea of how it’s shaping [...]
Aren’t short, that is. Meh. So we haven’t heard back from the bank yet, and it’s been over two weeks, which was the amount of time we gave for the offer to expire. So while we may still hear from them, we’ve decided to proceed with the house hunt. Thankfully, it looks like we may [...]

We wandered around Stow Lake Waterfall for a while where I was able to take some really nice pictures. Unfortunately, after about 30 [...]
Whew! So we finally think we may have possibly perhaps found ~the~ one. The good: (short version, off the top of my head) 30 or so minute commute A Park across the street Decent sized yard Vaulted Ceilings Good Square footage 2 bonus rooms in addition to 3 bedrooms Finished (poorly, but hey) shed in [...]
We stopped off on our way home the other night to catch this gorgeous sight of the city skyline with the clouds coming in. It was such a cool sight. Unfortunately, my camera didn’t really do it justice, but you can get some of the idea.
And I’m thinking of trying to get her a dress made like this: (I know, excuse the lame drawing… you get the idea…) I’m thinking a vintage-50′s-swing style dress. Something suitable for a growing young lady (re: Modest!), but also fun enough that she’d feel hip and cool in it. I have to learn to [...]
I was over at Trader Joe’s the other day just before they opened, and got a little chuckle out of this. Thought I would share.
