This recipe made it to me via Foodgawker all the way to New Brunswick, NJ (I&#039;m a student there at Rutgers). Anyway, I made it for a Thanksgiving potluck last week and it was a big hit - I don&#039;t think anyone expected to see pumpkin and lentils together like that. It was gone faster than anything else on the table!

I also used pre-cooked pumpkin, and like you said, it made kind of a sauce. This worked, I thought, for a hot pasta dish, but if I make it again, I may also try and see how chunks of real roasted pumpkin change things.
