My second farm box arrived today. I have to admit – when I saw fresh mushrooms in my box, I squealed a little bit. I’m actually not kidding. lol I think my whole week is going to start revolving around what arrives in these little cardboard boxes each week – it’s a whole lot of fun. I mean, I can plan ahead a little bit – Farm Fresh posts the contents for the scheduled delivery on Friday, but even when I look at the list, it’s really not the same as opening the box up, and seeing the fresh produce for myself. I can’t believe I waited so long to start doing this.

Mr. Man is also becoming really fond of it, too – we ate a whole lot more veggies in the last week than we have before, and it really makes me feel good that we’re supporting local farmers. Starting week after next I’m going to have to choose a different box, as they are restructuring their boxes. I’m sure I’ll find one that works well for us though.

So this week, I was received:

• 1 Fennel bulb
• 2lb Gold Blush Apples
• 1 bunch Collards
• 2 heads Radicchio (I may have to talk to them about that – I don’t like radicchio that much…)
• 2 lbs Tangelos
• 1 bunch Nantes Carrots
• 2 lbs Yukon Potatoes
• 1 bunch Dino Kale
• 1 head Broccoli
• 5 Eureka Lemons
• 8 oz White Mushrooms
